Fourth Annual California-Mexico Advocacy Day

On May 6 & 7, an important delegation of visitors from Mexico came to the State Capitol for the Fourth Annual California-Mexico Advocacy Day. This year’s theme was “Strengthening California and Mexico Higher Education Partnership.”
The group consisted of university presidents/senior campus administrators, government leaders (including the equivalent of the National Science Foundation) and other non-governmental association and foundation leaders. The Counsel General of Mexico Sacramento office organized the group’s visit for two days. In addition to a legislative hearing, reception and public ceremony, the delegation met with representatives from the UC and CSU system and AICCU (including member institutions: National University, USC, USF and Mount St. Mary’s) to seek out …
